THE 2002-2003 SCHOOL YEAR STARTS AT ST. JOSEPH HIGH SCHOOL

Some of the Current Members of the Class of 2003 under the Senior Tree

After registering on August 15 and 16, the students of St. Joseph Catholic High School started their first week of classes of the 2002-2003 school year on August 19. They returned to their beautiful campus surrounded by blooming Flamboyant trees and found some newly painted buildings, new teachers, new courses, and new uniforms. The new uniforms include ties for all of the students and emblemed shirts. Senior students have the option of wearing blue colored shirts. Even though the weather was very warm and humid during the week, the students welcomed their distinctive new look.

According to senior student, Enda Lacan, "St. Joseph Catholic High School has really made a shift towards a good future and has given an enjoyable present to all of the students." Another senior student, Kenrick Roberts, remarked, "The new school year appears to fun and promises future success." Senior student, Zahra Spencer summed it all up by saying, "The new school year started out very well and I think the new uniform is outstanding. It is going to be a productive and successful year."

St. Joseph Catholic High School located at Estate Mount Pleasant opened in September, 1964 and has produced many outstanding alumni who can be found not only on St. Croix but throughout the world. After Hurricane Hugo in September, 1989, most of the school campus was destroyed but the school was back in operation in temporary buildings within a few weeks. St. Joseph Catholic High School has always had the tradition of educational excellence and after observing the present school climate, there can be no doubt that tradition will continue for many more years
