Each set of notes should be at least 1/4 page or more in length. Spend more time and write more about the topics that will help you understand the Chapters better or to enhance your learning of the Chapters. 2) Hand in AB28 at the end of class. Homework will be announced. Be sure to read and study Chapters 7,8,9,10,11,12 for Unit 2. The Unit 3 test will take place on March 7 or 8 and will soon be followed by the semester exam on Chapters 1 to 12.
3) Class was held on 2/24 and the students viewed DVD segments on DNA, Meiosis, and Mitosis. They took 2 sides of notes on the segments for AB27. You may view the DVD segments after school today on the Emac and do the assignment or you may outline the details of the topics on 2 sides or more (write in your own words - do not type). It is due at the start of class on 2./28/05.
4) Previous objectives are past due. (AB25 Vocabulary and AB26 Double Helix Coloring) Be sure to bring your book and your own coloring pencils, book, loose-leaf paper, calculators, and writing implements to every class.

1) Do Objective AB09. Research Chapter 4 "The Cellular Organization of Life" . Refer to your book for the subdivisions of the Chapter. Write notes from each of these 7 subdivisions using the websites listed below. Write this in your own words on loose-leaf paper only and skip a line in between the notes on each topic. Give the online source of each set of notes. Each set of notes should be at least 1/2 long and can be longer if necessary. This is a vast subject and you want to go into detail beyond what you already know so go back and do more if your finished the minimum assignment.

b) Give the amounts of the atoms, C H O N, in a human and describe the functions of each of the atoms and give some examples of compounds formed by tghe atoms.
c) Minerals are needed in the human diet. What are the formulas for around 5 or more of these minerals and what functions do they serve in humans?
d) Minerals are needed by plants. What are the formulas for around 5 or more of these minerals and what functions do they serve in plants?
